Therapy
Therapy, also called Psychotherapy or Counseling, is a process where the client identifies goals based on his/her needs as well as potential solutions to the needs identified with the help of the mental health professional. The purpose of the therapeutic process is to help the client process thoughts, feelings, learn problem solving and/or coping skills to achieve an improved quality of life and functioning. Treatment goals are geared towards helping the client resolve mood, anxiety, relationship issues, problematic behaviors, identifying ways to cope with stress and stressful situations, trauma and other events that may be affecting the client. In therapy different methods and therapeutic approaches are used. Therapy is offered in different forms, individual, couples, family and groups. Licensed Psychologist, Social Worker and Counselors, can offer it. In some cases interns and residents provided the services under the supervision of a licensed provider.
You can usually schedule an appointment within the same week for therapy with our Intake Department.
