Dr. Gohar Choudhary, MD
Medical Director


  • Philosophy: Dr. Gohar Choudhary provides an integrative approach towards mental health and wellness of children, adolescents and adults, combining evidence-based medication management and therapy to best suit the individual needs of the patient and their families. 
  • Education and Training: Dr. Choudhary is a double Board Certified Child/Adolescent and Adult Psychiatrist. She completed her residency in New York at Nassau University Medical Centre where she served at chief resident in her third year. She then went on to complete her Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at University of Maryland, Baltimore.
  • Clinical Areas of Expertise: Dr. Choudhary specializes in treating depression, anxiety, school refusal, trauma/PTSD, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, eating disorders and psychotic disorders. She has a special interest in issues faced by women of different racial and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Services offered: Dr. Choudhary provides diagnostic evaluations and psychopharmacology services for children, adolescents and adults.

  • Philosophy: When caring for patients, Cat feels one of the most important things is viewing the individual as a whole person, not just the diagnosis they have; this includes family and friends.  In order to see the person as a whole, she believes in conducting thorough assessments and listening to client concerns.  Cat prides herself in the concept of prescribing “the least amount of medication necessary” and is often known to refer clients to alternative therapies such as acupuncture, massage, chiropractic care, and Reiki therapy.  She feels overall health is important and is always happy to discuss nutrition, exercise, and vitamin supplementation. 
  • Education and Training: Cat earned her bachelor's degree in Nursing from the State University of New York at Brockport. She received her master's degree in Nursing from Shenandoah University, specializing as a family psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. Cat then earned board certification as a family mental health nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.  Cat is currently a member of the American Psychiatric Nurse Association and the Sigma Theta Tau international nursing honor society. In early 2022, she completed training to be recognized as a certified integrative mental health professional (CIMHP).
  • Clinical Areas of Expertise: Cat’s clinical expertise includes caring for clients with attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), depression, anxiety, gender identity disorder, LGBTQIA+ issues, post-traumatic stress disorder, autism spectrum disorders and bipolar disorder.  She has a special interest in caring for children and adolescents.

  • Philosophy: Dr. Sathish believes that mental health treatment can provide people with the strength to take control of their lives. She trusts in a collaborative and integrated approach in handling the mental health issues and believes that medication management alone is not the solution. In addition, the support from an individual's family and community play a significant role.
  • Education and Training: Dr. Sathish received her medical school training from Madurai Medical College in India in 2001. She completed her Psychiatry residency training at The University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2010.She completed her fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at The University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2012.
  • Clinical Areas of Expertise: Dr. Sathish provides an integrative approach towards mental health and wellness of children, adolescents and adults, combining behavior modification, medication management and therapy to best suit the individual needs of the patient. She specializes in treating depression, anxiety, Bipolar illness, psychotic disorders, school refusal, trauma/PTSD, ADHD and behavioral problems of children. She is a Member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP).

Dr. Amanda Baltierra, DNP, MPH, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC

  • Philosophy: Amanda Baltierra, DNP practices a philosophy of holistic, integrated mental health and physical well-being.  She believes that healing occurs best by treating and caring for the whole person, not just addressing the separate pieces and problems that make up the individual.
  • Education and Training: Dr. Baltierra earned her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. She received her Master's Degree in Nursing from West Virginia University, specializing as a family nurse practitioner. In 2014, Dr. Baltierra finished her Doctorate of Nursing Practice while completing a post-master’s certification as a family mental health nurse practitioner. Dr. Baltierra is board certified as both a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She is currently is a member of the International Society of Psychiatric Nurses, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and the Sigma Theta Tau international nursing honor society. She is also the current Co-Chair of the Annual Conference Planning Committee for the International Society of Psychiatric Nurses.
  • Clinical Areas of Expertise: Dr. Baltierra’s clinical expertise includes caring for patients with autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), depression, anxiety, LGBTQ+ issues, post-traumatic stress disorder, developmental disabilities, and those with significant medical co-morbidities. She has a special interest and experience in caring for children and adolescents
  • Services offered: Dr. Baltierra provides diagnostic evaluations and psychopharmacology services for children and adolescents. She also offers short-term cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for children, adolescents, and college students when appropriate.

  • Philosophy: Anna believes in a holistic and client-oriented approach to medication management. She believes it is important to consider a client's personal beliefs, spiritual values and cultural diversity when providing care. Her goal is to break stigma regarding mental health and teach her clients the important of taking care of their own mind and body.
  • Education and Training: Anna has an extensive nursing background, working with an array of clients. She received her Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner degree from Shenandoah University. In 2011 and 2012, she was awarded "Excellence in Nursing" from Roanoke Chowan Community College ADN Program. In 2017, she received the "Spirit of Nursing" award for excellent academic and clinical achievements from the Shenandoah University PMHNP program.
  • Clinical Areas of Expertise: Anna has been working with adults and adolescents in the specialty areas of treating borderline personality disorder, eating disorders, gender dysphoria, depression, and anxiety.
